This Privacy Policy explains how Sammy’s ABC & 123 ("the app," "we," "us") handles information. The app is made by Varela Apps and is designed for young children (ages 3–5) with the help of a parent or guardian.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, and does not send any information to us or to anyone else. The app does not connect to the internet to transmit your data — there are no servers, no analytics services, and no advertising networks involved.

2. Information Stored On Your Device

So the app can remember your child’s progress and preferences, the following is saved only on your device, in the app’s private local storage:

• A child profile you create: the child’s first name (or nickname) and a chosen favorite color.
• An optional profile photo, if you choose to add one (see below).
• Learning progress, such as which letters and numbers have been practiced and how many activity rounds have been played.

This information stays on the device. It is not uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with any third party. If you use the app on more than one device, this information is not synced between them.

3. Photos

If a parent or guardian chooses to add a profile photo for a child, the app uses your device’s photo picker to let you select an image. That image is copied into the app’s private local storage on the device and is used only to display the child’s profile picture inside the app. It is never uploaded or shared. Adding a photo is entirely optional.

4. No Ads, Analytics, or Tracking

The app contains no advertisements, no third-party advertising software, no analytics or usage-tracking tools, and no social media integrations. We do not build profiles of users and do not track activity across other apps or websites.

5. Children’s Privacy

We take children’s privacy seriously. Because the app collects no personal information and transmits nothing off the device, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else. The app is intended to comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play’s Families Policy. Interactive elements intended for adults (such as external links) are placed behind a parental gate.

6. External Links

The app may include links intended for parents and guardians — for example, a link to this Privacy Policy or an email link for support. These links are placed behind a parental gate and open in your device’s web browser or email app. Once you leave the app, this Privacy Policy no longer applies; please review the privacy practices of any website you visit.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Because everything is stored locally, you are always in control of your data:

• You can reset a child’s learning progress at any time from the app’s Settings.
• Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored profiles, photos, and progress from your device.

8. Security

Your information is stored in the app’s private storage area on your device and is protected by your device’s own security. Because nothing is transmitted or stored on our servers, there is no server-side data for us to secure or expose.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If we ever make a material change to how information is handled, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the app or the app store listing.
